INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION - Freedom in our hearts, pride in our nation

Vishvam Foundation organized a vibrant Independence Day celebration on 15th August 2025 at Kuvempu Nagar Government School, Hassan. The event took place from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 300 students, 25 teachers, and 20 volunteers. The programme aimed to promote patriotism, unity and community involvement while providing a platform for students to showcase their cultural and sports talents. 

The celebration began with flag hoisting, followed by motivational sessions to instill patriotic values among children. The event also included breakfast distribution, inspiring speeches by dignitaries, cultural performances, and a prize distribution ceremony for the Sports Day winners held on 2nd August. These activities encouraged student engagement and celebrated their achievements. 

The keynote addresses were delivered by Dr. Ranjitha Rathod and Dr. Digvijay Babu. Dr. Ranjitha spoke about the true meaning of independence, youth participation in nation-building, and the importance of sports and discipline in student development. Dr. Digvijay addressed early identification of speech and hearing issues, communication skills, and inclusive education, emphasizing support for children with special needs. 

Several achievers from the fields of sports and academics were honored during the event, including national and international players in volleyball, dodgeball, hockey, karate, and yoga, along with the school’s SSLC topper and educators. Each achiever was personally felicitated on stage, boosting their confidence and motivating other students to excel. 

1. Mr.Vasu - A well-known personality recognized for his association with the sport of volleyball. 
2. Mrs.Bhoomika – Dodgeball national and international player.
3. Mr.Ravi – Dodgeball national and international player.
4. Kowshik – National and international level Volleyball player.
5. Ravi kumar – National level volleyball player.
6. Ruthvi - Achieved an extraordinary milestone by setting a Yoga World Record.
7. Saraswathi – State and National level Hockey player.
8. Srinivas - State and National level Hockey player.
9. Desiha Kanasu – National level Karate champion.
10. Shalini – SSLC topper of Kuvempu nagar Govt School.

The cultural programme, choreographed by volunteer Jashwanth, was themed around patriotism and showcased national pride through songs and dance performances. His dedication played a major role in the success of the cultural segment. 

Prize distribution for Sports Day winners was led by Mr. Ramachandra, who awarded medals, trophies, and certificates. His encouraging words inspired students to continue excelling in academics and extracurricular activities. 

Dedicated volunteers, including Dr. Ranjitha Rathod, Darshan, Tanya, Nihar, Kushal, Neethu, Jashwanth, Avin, Priyanka, Mrs. Bhoomika, Mrs. Sujatha, and Ravikumar, played a crucial role in coordination and event management. 

The event resulted in increased patriotic enthusiasm, stronger community engagement, and greater student participation in cultural and sports activities. It also enhanced the visibility and reputation of Vishvam Foundation within the community. 

The celebration concluded successfully, creating a strong sense of unity, pride, and community bonding. Vishvam Foundation expressed gratitude to all students, teachers, volunteers, and dignitaries who contributed to making the event meaningful and impactful.
