Vishvam Foundation successfully organized an HPV Vaccination Drive and Cervical Cancer Awareness Program at Lakshmi Nursing Home, Hassan, with the aim of promoting preventive healthcare and empowering women with essential health knowledge. The initiative focused on creating awareness about cervical cancer, its causes, early symptoms, and effective prevention methods, while also providing access to affordable vaccination services for women from rural and underserved communities.
The program featured an informative awareness session led by medical professionals, where participants learned about the importance of regular health check-ups, Pap smear tests, personal hygiene, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle to reduce the risk of cervical cancer. The session encouraged open interaction, allowing women to share concerns, clarify doubts, and overcome myths related to women’s health in a safe and supportive environment.
A major highlight of the event was the Cervavac Vaccination Drive. Around 25 women received the Cervavac vaccine at a highly subsidized cost of ₹1,500 as part of the initiative to promote women’s health and safety. This discounted vaccination drive made preventive healthcare more accessible and encouraged women to take proactive steps toward protecting themselves against cervical cancer. Participants were also educated about the importance of completing the vaccination schedule and maintaining regular medical check-ups.
In addition to vaccination, the program emphasized a holistic approach to health by providing guidance on nutrition, hygiene, and overall wellness. Women were encouraged to adopt healthy habits and share the knowledge gained with their families and communities, helping to extend awareness beyond the event.
The smooth execution of the program was made possible by the dedicated efforts of Vishvam Foundation volunteers who managed registration, guided participants, and assisted throughout the vaccination process. Their commitment and teamwork reflected the foundation’s spirit of compassion and community service.
Overall, the HPV Vaccination Drive and Cervical Cancer Awareness Program at Lakshmi Nursing Home created a meaningful impact by increasing awareness, improving access to preventive care, and empowering women to make informed health decisions. Vishvam Foundation remains committed to organizing similar health initiatives to safeguard women’s health and build stronger, healthier communities.
